Dear Daddy,

It's been really hot here for the last week! We have played outside a lot. Mummy topped up our sand table and I still love playing in there although Molly keeps taking handfuls and dumping them on the ground. My chicken pox are a lot better now and have all gone scabby. Mummy says I can play with other children again now, so I'm probably going back to school today.

Yesterday Sienna came over to play and we walked to the BX and Mummy got me some more playdough. We've been playing with our play dough machine a lot.

Dear Daddy,

On Monday Jodie, Sienna, Kai, Mummy, Harriet, Molly and me went on the train to London Zoo! Mummy got lost on the way to Ely station - we ended up near Newmarket - poor Mummy, she isn't good with directions. We did make it in time for our train though, so that was good. We had a great time and saw lots and lots of animals. When you come back I want to go with you too Daddy!

On Wednesday of this week I didn't feel well. I went to school but they told me that Mummy that I'd been very quiet and that I hadn't smiled all day. At bed time Mummy noticed that I had a spot on my side - it looked a bit like a blister and we thought that maybe I had chicken pox as 8 children at school had it. On Thursday morning we didn't have to wonder anymore - I had lots of spots! On Friday and had even more and on Saturday and today I have over 300spots. I have them on the palms of my hands, soles of my feet, on my gums and the inside of my cheeks. They are super itchy -especially the ones on my head.

Mummy is wondering when Molly will catch them.

Daddy, we're missing you so much. Not long now though. We cant wait to see you.

Dear Daddy,

Sorry that we havent been good at updating this. Our internet has been VERY rubbish and we've also been very busy. When im not at school im usually on a playdate with Thomas, or Kai and Sienna.

Molly has been saying lots and lots of new words and using the potty a lot. She keeps telling me 'Daddy gone' but I already know that.

My behaviour hasn't been very good lately. Mummy thinks that ive turned into a drama queen since turning four. I think that maybe I actually AM a drama queen. I like to take forever to get my shoes on when we leave the house, I often like to cry and protest.

Dear Daddy,

This weekend it has been nice and sunny, which makes a nice change after all the rain we have had. Yesterday we stayed at home in the morning and in the afternoon we went to Jodie's house and I got to play with Kai and Sienna-Faye. They have lots of cool toys!

Today we went to see Grandad, George and Jo for a while and then spent the rest of the day at Nana's house as she had a BBQ. I got to play with lots of different people including my bestest friend Jimmy. Molly had a good time too.

Dear Daddy,

This weekend we went to see Grandad and Nana Jo on Sunday. I stayed with Grandad while Mummy took Molly to Spotted Giraffe play barn for a baby party. I helped him make the concrete and pour it to make a new floor. I was VERY good boy. Yesterday it was Bank Holiday Monday and we went for a walk in Santom Downham. Gradad, Jo and George came too! After that we went to play at Thomas' house.

Today I went to school and I was very good as always. My teacher told Mummy how I am such a kind boy.

Molly has started using lots of words. She doesnt call me 'Maa' anymore. She now calls me 'Sham'. Here we are eating icecream. I was very sneaky and got it down myself from the freezer and helped Molly eat some. Mummy found us and took a photo!!

Dear Daddy,

This week has been rainy - again! the river near Grandads is REALLY high and a bit overflowing! I have had a good week at school and before school on Thursday I got to play with Sienna Faye - I REALLY like her! ;-)

On Thursday afternoon I went to the doctors on base to check I didn't have a UTI. It was rubbish and took 45minutes. Mummy was getting VERY frustrated.

Last night, after school, we went all the way over to Granddad's to George's party! There were lots of people for me to play with and I ate jelly and cake for dinner!

Here we are with the bricks AGAIN! Mummy ordered me some new ones from the Internet! I have SO many now. Id still really like the firetruck set though. Molly is playing with the new stroller that Jodie, Sienna and Kai got her for her birthday! She LOVES it.

Molly is OBSESSED with her wellies, she likes to put them on as soon as she wakes up - which is just as well has it has been raining and raining and raining here. We're all fed up of being trapped inside or getting wet all the time.

This weekend was Molly's birthday. On Saturday Grandad and Nana Jo came over and we had tea and ate cakes and sang Happy Birthday. Molly got lots of presents. Two 'babies', games, money, pens and lots of other things. I want to show you lots of pictures, but it wont let me upload them today. On Sunday Molly had another party at Nana's with Jimmy and Ryan too. We had more cake and more presents for Molly - although I did 'help' her open them!

This week I have been at school again. It's been raining a LOT so no playing outside.

Dear Daddy,

Today we walked to Mildenhall BX - which I enjoyed. We picked up the ingredients to make Molly's birthday cakes.

I went to Topsy's school and had a good time. After school, when we got home, I discovered that Mummy and Molly had made me a surprise! They'd built me a new bed! it's VERY cool. I use the steps that you got for me in America to climb up! I have a LOT more floor space for playing now and the spare room has my old bed!

Tomorrow is Molly's birthday. I'm very sad that you don't get to be here with us! Molly will miss you a LOT.

Dear Daddy,

I have been playing with my Duplo a LOT! I LOVE it! I'm getting really good at building houses/barns/farms/trailers. Mummy took a picture of the barn and tractor/trailer that I built all by myself. Molly enjoys playing with me too!

 Here is Molly this morning with a mouthful of cheese. We laugh at her crazy hair. Mummy doesnt know what to do with it. Molly is wearing my 'Happy 1st Birthday' onesie, which is funny as she is two on Saturday. Molly weighs less than I did at my 1st birthday! She is tiny!

Today I went to Topsy's school and I loved it. I always make all of the teachers laugh.

Today was my first day back at school after the Easter Holidays. It was good to be back. After school we went to Scotsdales to eat lunch and then went back to Nana's house.

Dear Daddy,

This morning we went to the base and finally got us all registered with Tricare at the hospital. We also sent you a special surprise. I enjoyed yelling 'I NEED A POO' in an almost silent and very busy post office, Mummy loved it too!

After the base we went to Thomas' house to play for the whole afternoon! It was great fun!

Molly is very frightened of all the planes that fly over!

Dear Daddy,

On Thursday Thomas and his Mummy came over to play. It was fun. They stayed all day so we got to do lots and lots of playing! I was exhausted by bedtime. Yesterday, Molly and I went to Nana's for the afternoon so Mummy could go to the cinema with Jodie and Shannon. Nana let us eat ice cream!

We are proud of you Daddy, mummy says you are working lots and lots and are very tired. We think of you often. I miss you SO much

Over Easter, Molly and I got SO much chocolate that Mummy has had to take it away and ration it!

Yesterday we went to collect Great Grandma to bring her to our house as she hasnt seen it yet! She loved it. She brought cakes with her too! We took her to eat on the base!

Today we went over to Nana's house and we all went to Saffron Walden. I got a haircut. The last time I had it cut was the week before you came home for your visit! So it had got pretty long! I look really cool! I know you saw it on Skype but Mummy will take a photo tomorrow!

It's Easter weekend! We made Easter nests today! I did it all by myself!

Yesterday I spent the day with Grandad and Nana Jo. Lottie came over to play too and we had great fun. We played with trains, made cakes, went on a walk to watch trains. I was VERY well behaved. Tomorrow we're going to Granddad's again to have a 'birthday lunch' as on Monday it's Granddad's birthday!

Today Thomas came to play so his Mummy could go to her hospital appointment. Then when she came back she stayed for tea and Jodie, Sienna and Shannon came too! Our house was full! It was great fun!

Sorry it's been a while we've all been poorly. I have had a tickly cough and a runny nose and so has Molly. Mummy had strep throat and she is now taking antibiotics!

It's Easter Holidays from school now - so no school for me until the 16th of April!! On Saturday we went to the Easter Fete at Thomas' school and I won a big chocolate egg for hitting a pretend rat as it came out of a tube! I also got given a big egg my school - so on Easter Sunday I will have LOTS of chocolate to eat!!

Today we went with Nana Jo and George to the High Lodge Forest Centre just up the road in Thetford. It was REALLY cool! We should go there when you come back! Lots of trees, lots of pine cones and we even had a picnic in a field!

Dear Daddy,

It's been another hot and sunny day! I've played outside a LOT! This morning we went with Mummy to the base hospital as she has had a VERY sore throat. They couldn't help her, so we went all the way to Sawston, to the better doctors and she got some medicine. It was cool. Afterwards we got to see Nana and Harriet.

This afternoon I went to school. I actually really love my school now. I LOVE having my packed lunch there!

Dear Daddy,

It's been yet another lovely day here. Lots of sunshine and up to 67F!! I rode my bike up and down the road. I've got SO much better compared to when you last saw me! Mummy thinks when you come home you can take off my training wheels!

This afternoon we dyed eggs for Easter, it didn't go so well...They cracked, my fingers got dyed and then Molly tried to eat the eggs and I almost ate some shell.

Today Molly woke up with THE best bed hair ever!!



 We went to the base this morning and checked the mail box and we went to the BX and Mummy got a Starbucks coffee, that she tipped all over the floor - everyone stared, it was great!

Then I went to school and had a great time! While Mummy saw the lady next door who gave her lots and lots and lots of clothes for me! We wont have to buy me any clothes for a LONG time!

After school I helped Molly dig a big hole in the garden:

Dear Daddy,

This morning me. Mummy and Molly went to Sainsbury's. Of course, I didn't want to go, but then when we got there I remembered that it was the duck feeding place too! The last time we did that was when you were here. Anyway, we didn't have time to do that today, so of course, I made a large fuss!

This afternoon I went to school. I was very enthusiastic. My teacher told Mummy that I had 'come out of my shell' today and I was no longer the quiet little boy they'd all come to know and love - I was ME! ha! They still love me, but I'm my noisy cheery self now!  While I was at school Molly played outside as it was a warm, sunny day. Her and Mummy did some gardening and planted some bulbs.

After school we went to see Vicky and Thomas and we had tea there. We rushed back as Mummy said we could talk to you on the phone, but you didn't answer...so, I was sad about that. Never mind, hopefully tomorrow. I'm getting desperate now!

I went to school today, I took my pack lunch and was very happy! Molly is fully better finally and she let Mummy get a whole nights sleep last night! We waited to talk to you, but Mummy said your internet was probably not working. I got VERY upset. I am sick and tired of you being gone now. I get Mummy to show me the 'doughnut of misery' pie chart so I can see how long we have left!

Today I went to Kate's school in Whittlesford. After school I went with Mummy, Nana and Molly to Scotsdales. We had lunch and looked at all the pretty flowers. We went back to Nana's house to play and watch TV while Nana went to the doctors!

Mummy is getting so worn out. Molly is still poorly and was up lots last night. Here she is...look at all that SNOT! Mummy says she has sore gums too as she says 'owww my teeeef' a LOT!

 Here is Mummy and Molly - Molly and me might also have Pink Eye again, Mummy hasn't decided if we do or not yet.

Today it was Mothering Sunday here. Mummy and me and Molly went to the BX and got a card for Nana, then to the commissary to get some flowers too. We then drove all the way over to Nana's again and I fell asleep in the car and pee'd my pants - so now my car seat smells of wee and Mummy was cross as I had told her I didnt need to go when we 1st got in the car.

We stayed at Nana's all day and had a big lunch, it was fun. I got to play with Jimmy again, we did puzzles and he got his trains out again!



Can you remember what I look like Daddy? It's been SO long since we have Skyped.

Dear Daddy,

Molly was VERY naughty for Mummy last night. Mummy had to get up more than 8times - that's more than once an hour. So, today we went over to Nana's house so Mummy could relax a little bit and I could help Jimmy with his train set (he has a really cool grown up's train set!!). We also went to the garden centre and to Tescos. When we got home Grandad, Nana Jo and George came over and made us dinner. Nana Jo and Mummy then built this new shelf thingy for us! It's going to hold all of our toys! Mummy needs to order some more (bigger) baskets for it. Do you like it? It's just a bigger version of what was there already!

Dear Daddy,

This morning we drove over to see Grandad and George. It was fun, I played with George's choochoos and we walked to the shop too and I got a Kinder Egg. Then Mummy took me to school - this is where it all went horribly wrong. Usually, I eat lunch at home and THEN go to school, today, Mummy had packed me a lunch to take to school to eat with the other children. I did NOT like this, not one bit. So I started to cry in the car, then I cried more on the walk to the school and EVEN more when I got into school. Topsy gave me a cuddle and helped me to feel better. I ended up eating my lunch at school and LOVING it. Now I want to take lunch every day!

Here is a photo of Mummy and Molly looking like zombies! Molly is not very well today - she has swollen gums where teeth are trying to poke through and a snotty nose and runny, sore eyes. She is miserable!

Dear Daddy,

Today I went to school and Mummy was very pleased as my teacher stopped her to tell her that I am a wonderful little boy, and I'm always so well behaved. She told Mummy that I do everything they ask me to do first time and I'm very quiet and lovely to work with. Mummy was very proud and I hope you are too.

We miss you so much Daddy, Mummy showed me on the calendar how many weeks and months we have left. I even marked it on my own calendar so I can check when I feel sad.

Dear Daddy,

Today we haven't been doing much, this morning we played at home. I am getting very good at playing with Molly. I show her how to build things and how to do puzzles. Here we are playing together...

I went to school this afternoon and when Mummy picked me up she told me that you had sent us a box! I couldn't wait to get home and open it. It was so exciting, thank you so much for our plates and I LOVED my puzzle. I did it right away! Mummy took a photo, I'll show you tomorrow.

Dear Daddy,

It's been a warm sunny day here. We walked from our house to the BX at Mildenhall - it took 11 minutes! We found an indoor play area on the base, we didn't even know it was there! So Molly and I played for a while and then we walked home. When we got back, we gave Dot a bath, it was really funny! I helped to dry her with the hairdryer!

Mummy and I have been doing lots 'plant things'. We planted some sweet peas a few weeks ago and this weekend we put some Daffodils in food colouring so I could learn how they suck up water. It has dyed the outside of the flower - see?

Dear Daddy,

Today we went to the dinosaur park. It was really fun. We collected stamps as we went around and then at the end I got a medal. They had a really cool adventure play area and I got to see (and touch) pigs, sheep, tortoises and wallabies. We should go again when you get home! Here is Mummy pulling Molly out of a dinosaur's mouth - it tried to eat her!!

I miss you very much and was telling Mummy that I wish you could come home soon. I was hoping to see you on Skype but it seems like maybe you don't have internet?

I am missing our chats already. We don't know where you are right now, but we love you and we hope you're OK. Yesterday Mummy had some friends over and I enjoyed it as Shannon always plays with me. Then I went to school - AGAIN. I had a great time though. I was being a 'doctor' for the class. My teacher told Mummy im one of the most caring children she has worked with, that's becasue if someone is crying I can't leave them until they're better.

Things have been good here. I no longer cry when Mummy leaves me at school I actually quite enjoy 'Topsy's school' now.

sorry I have been rubbish at keeping up on here. Mummy had to get a new camera from the BX as Molly and I broke her other one.

This week I have been:

 Doing all my birthday jigsaw puzzles - over and over again. I LOVE them and don't need any help at all. Molly tries to help, but I don't allow it.

 Helping Mummy cook!!

Planting our front garden. I helped Mummy pick the flowers out and then we came home and I helped to dig the holes and plant them!

Dear Daddy,

It's Sunday and on Thursday we dropped you off at Heathrow after an amazing month together. It was the best thing ever to have you home. Mummy had been telling me that you were coming home, that you hadn't flown away on a broken plane to leave us forever....and you DID!! you came home and it was my favouritest thing ever in the world!

After we dropped you back at Heathrow I kept shouting for you in the car. Mummy told me it was dangerous for me to scream as she negotiated the busy M25, but I did it anyway. I wanted to be 100% sure you weren't just hiding in the footwell of the passenger seat, upfront.

Ive been a bit confused again since Thursday. I ask Mummy at least once a day 'where's Daddy' and every time she tells me that you're 'in Korea, back at work fixing broken planes and that you'll be home again soon'

Anyway, I miss you Daddy, I sniff your pillowcase when I want to remember you...

I was very happy about going into school today, no tears from me. I was very proud to show off my new hair cut! I made a Chinese dragon for Chinese New Year!

Dear Daddy,

Today was a good day. We went shopping and because Mummy says you'll be home soon I helped her pick out lots of things that you like. I personally chose some SnackPack desserts - in butterscotch flavour, but im not sure if that's because I remember that you liked them, or ....maybe because I wanted to eat them!?! After shopping we went to the BX and ate lunch and then looked around the BX for a while.

I have school tomorrow, so it's bath night here!

Today I have been feeling a bit better. I am not coughing as much. Molly has caught my cold though, she kept Mummy up for most of the time last night.

I even went back to school today. I didnt cry either! Mummy said if I didnt cry I could get a sweetie after school...so...because I wanted chocolate so badly, I held in the tears!

Santa got Molly a slinky for Christmas...I ruined it for her (see below)
